So after years of listening to me drool over any hearse on Ebay within a 500 mile radius of our house, MistressEvil bought me a hearse for our 12th wedding anniversary!

It's a dark blue 1978 Cadillac S&S Victoria

Parked in front of the house.  Yes, we keep it there all year.   No, our neighbors don't hate us... no idea why. :)

The front as it is today. I replaced the Cadillac hood ornament with a skeleton pirate bust. I just drilled a hole through the bottom of it, epoxied a bolt in there, and put it on.

With that color match, it's like it was made for the hearse.

Replaced the rear view mirror with a skull and bones one... it's smaller than the original, but it's not like I can see over the coffin in back anyways.

All hail his noodly goodness!  Yup, with a pirate bust for a hood ornament, you know I'm a Pastafarian

So one day, I'm getting into the hearse to run some errands... a guy driving by stops and starts asking me questions.  "Are you in the business?"  "Where did you get it?"  etc.

Turns out he works for a national casket manufacturer.  The casket here had fallen when it was being put on the truck for delivery, and snapped the bottom lid right off. 

He sold it to me for $200

The inside is almost perfect.  There's just one tiny little tear in the headliner.
