2009 - Had a lot of stuff I wanted to do in 2008 that didn't get done, so revisited the Killer Klowns/Evil Circus theme. As per usual, didn't get half the stuff accomplished I wanted to, but did finish off a few things.
435ish Trick or Treaters (based on glow bracelet count) braved the evil clowns to get a glow bracelet and some candy. Not bad at all for a 3 1/2 hour period.
I may have overdid it this year... my roaming clown and our friend who was videotaping said that the number of kids who flat out refused to come up to the door (and adults as well) tripled.
Apparently someone was taking a photo-opp around the corner and crashed through my fence around 9:15 PM... did some emergency repairs, and as I was finishing, heard the unmistakable *hisssssss* of the jack-in-the-box reserve tank emptying itself.
Note to self... secure reserve tank inside jack-in-the-box so it doesn't get caught in the 4-bar mech and shear off the regulator. Did quick surgery, but it didn't work right for the rest of the night. I either damaged the wires somewhere, or maybe the chip on my controller blew. Either way, it worked awesomely for most of the night, and got a huge amount of screams. Big thanks to Jon of EFX-TEK for coming up with the code to control it at way past the last minute.
Here's the video for this year. It's big, 50+ meg, so if you aren't on broadband, check the Youtube version instead. At the very least you might want to start it and then pause so it can load completely Thanks to Vicki at SETIFilms.com for the filming and edit
If that one didn't work for you, here is the Youtube version.
Thanks to Virgil for letting us use the awesome clown music. From the album "Klown"
And that's pretty much it. Next year, more of the same.
